Perhaps the new casino will sponsor a community 5K to help support the many worthy causes in Everett?

This race was cancelled for 2018. I will keep checking to see if it gets re-scheduled for 2019.
2017 was the SECOND ANNUAL 5K run and walk and took place at the Everett Recreation Center.
Miles for Miracles supports The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals! All proceeds will go directly to CMN Hospitals!
I’ll keep an eye on this one for you.

2018 was the 4th year for this Everett 5K race. In 2016 this race drew 300 runners from the Greater Boston Area (GBA).
This is a small locally organized race that raises funds to help families who have family members with autism.

Everett Recreation Center, 47 Elm Street
The proceeds from this race will be donated to LUMA, who have been serving the local immigrant community since 2002.
Registration was $25 in 2018 and teams were part of the fun. Kids 13 and under pay $10.00! Race day registration is $30 and $15 respectively.
FREE kids race begins at 9:30 AM.
The course is USATF certified.
Everett Recreation Center at 47 Elm Street
The Connor family invites you to join them at the starting line for the seventh annual running of Jared’s Run to raise money for their son, Jared and his fight against Sanfilippo Syndrome.
Sanfilippo Syndrome is a terminal genetic disorder affecting children. These children are born healthy but over time lose their ability to walk, talk and even eat.
Money raised from this event will help the Connor family give their son access to the best vitamin and dietary supports as well as participation in experimental treatments that are not covered by insurance. Additional funds will be donated to Team Sanfilippo to support research into Sanfilippo treatments and eventually a cure.
This is a small, family friendly race for you and your kids to enjoy.
