Thanksgiving is when the kids come home from college or from out-of-state to be with the family for the holiday.
Thanksgiving races are a great time to get together with friends and family and go for a run!

Pre Thanksgiving Races 2021
Billerica’s Annual Turkey Trot for Education
14 November | 11:00 AM | Sunday
Billerica, MA.
At 10AM there is a free Tot Trot (kids 11 and under) around the Marshall Middle School Track.
At 11AM the 5K starts from the Marshall Middle School.
All proceeds support the Billerica Partners for Education (bped.org), the Billerica Substance Abuse Prevention Committee, and the Billerica Public Schools Health and Wellness Committee.
Registration is open and is:
$30 – Preregistration online—No Registration Fee! Or $25 by mail
$35 – Day of Race registration
$15 – Senior Citizens
$15 – Pre-registration for students ages 13 and under who are running/walking the 5K

Newton Turkey Trot
20 November | 9:00 AM | Saturday
Waban, MA
The USATF Certified 5K run is a beautiful out and back course that leads you through Newton neighborhoods, onto the Commonwealth Avenue carriage lane to Newton City Hall and loops back to end at Zervas Elementary School. The roads will be monitored by Newton Police.
This year the Newton Turkey Trot will be raising money for both the Newton Food Pantry and Travis Roy Foundation’s Ethan Wang Fund.
Registration is open and is $35 for the 5K. The kid’s 1 mile fun run is sold out!
Westborough Turkey Trot
20 November | 9:00 AM | Saturday
Westborough High School, Westborough, MA.
All proceeds benefit Westborough Public Schools complementing programs and innovative initiatives.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving please bring non perishable items, canned food or dry goods to the High School on race day. We will be collecting those items and donating them to the Westborough Food Bank. Thank you!
There will not be a bag drop at this race and no finisher’s medals.
8th Annual Rachel’s Run
20 November | 9:15 AM walkers, 9:45 AM runners | Saturday
Tyngsboro, MA
The USATF has chosen this course as part of its Cross Country Series. The USATF race will start at 11:15AM for the women and 12:15PM for the men.
This run/walk event raises funds for the Academy of Notre Dame Rachel Morrison Memorial Fund.
There is an event for everyone in the family on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Awards to top three finishers and age-group top finishers. No finisher’s medal will be awarded.
Norwell Middle School PTO Turkey Trot
21 November | 9:00 AM | Sunday
Scenic walk/run 5k through the streets of Norwell, this 5k starts and ends at Norwell High School.
All proceeds from the race go to Norwell Middle School PTO, which provides grants to teachers, enrichment programs and ancillary student services.
Registration is open through November 17th and is $35 for adults and $25 for students. Families of 4+ can run or walk for $120.

34th Annual Feaster Five Road Race

We are thrilled to be back and are looking forward to once again running the streets of Andover with 10,000 of our closest friends on Thanksgiving morning!
As COVID-19 and its variants remain part of our lives, we wanted to assure our supporters and runners that you can also “Run it your way.” Participants who live in the region or plan to be in Andover for Thanksgiving, have the choice to join fellow participants at the start line in Andover or run virtually. The registration procedure is the same.
Registration is $40 for the 5K or 5 miler, 12 and under pay $30 for the 5K and Kid’s K is $10.
23rd Annual Marathon Sports Hingham High School Turkey Trot 5K

Kick off your holiday weekend the right way with the biggest Thanksgiving Day race on the South Shore.
Race proceeds go to the Hingham High School XC/Track Boosters, and awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group.
Registration is open and is $30 and $20 for 18 and under. Add $5 for race day registration.
Runners will receive a race shirt. Finisher’s medals will not be provided.
2021 Tiger Turkey Chase

The Tiger Turkey Chase is the official fundraiser of the Oliver Ames Cross Country Program, and is brought to you by the Bank of Easton.
Registration is open for the 5 mile run and 2.4 mile walk at $30 each.

Wellesley Turkey Trot 5K

The USATF Certified 5k route runs through scenic Wellesley and starts and and finishes are at Linden Square on Linden Street.

Bedford Turkey Trot 5K and 2 mile walk

John Glenn Middle School Bedford, MA
This is a friendly fun-run / walk as a fund-raiser for Bedford Food Pantry. The event provides a significant portion of the food pantry annual budget, and is a great way to build up an appetite for Thanksgiving dinner.
The race does not use timing chips and is limited to 250 runners and walkers.
The registration fee is $30 and limited to 250 runners.
This is a USATF sanctioned race, with sanction #21-02-151 .
Ayer Fire Department Thanksgiving 5K
25 November | 8:00 AM – Registration is closed!
Sun, rain, or snow we run!
The course is mostly flat, with several short hills. Course runs down Main Street and through residential neighborhoods. Marshals will be posted throughout the course, and a water station will be provided on the race course.

Braintree Athletic Association Thanksgiving 5K

This year marks the 22nd annual Braintree High School Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. This big time fundraiser is organized by the Braintree High School Athletic Association.
The money raised helps support our outstanding athletic program in numerous ways, but it also serves an even more important role of bringing our awesome community together.

The Boston Volvo Thanksgiving Day 5K

Come be a part of this awesome event and help change the world for people with MS.

I ran this race a few years ago and it is well organized. You will enjoy running through the neighborhoods of Allston and Brighton smelling pies and turkeys cooking as you go by homes full of families preparing their Thanksgiving Feasts!

My club does a Thanksgiving morning run.
I usually run the Feaster Five 5 miler, but may run with the club this cear.
