Boston’s Run to Remember 2014 Recap — 6 Comments

  1. Great recap, this was down by my primary running route when I was station at the District Office back in the 90’s kind of neat to know they have a race down there. Back then it wasn’t nearly as nice an area to be. 🙂 Congrats on a great race and an excellent race recap.

    • Thanks Harold, I appreciate that! South Boston used to be a scary place. Back in the 80’s I took the wrong exit off of 93 once, and it was like being in another world.
It was very industrial and run down in the seaport area. It has definitely made the transition to the shishi zone.

  2. Great recap. Sounds like a race to put on my to do list.

My Garmin Forerunner 220 was flakey and auto-pausing yesterday. I hope it’s not a Garmin satellite or software glitch of some sort.

    • Could be a software glitch. I know that my battery was as fully charged as it could be. Someone suggested it may have been because there were thousands of other Garmin watches in the same place. Sounds plausible.
The course is great and there were spectators cheering us on. If you want to try for a PR you need to work your way to the front.
My friend Tim who yelled out my name near the end, he WON the 5 miler! Guy is unbelievable.
